It's been almost a year to the day that Matisyahu entered a Supercuts and made the physical transformation in his break from Hasidic Judaism.
In the 12 months since he cut his hair and removed his yarmulke, the reggae rocker has released the album Spark Seeker and is prepping to hit the road for a limited run of acoustic performances.
Despite the ups and downs, Matisyahu has a holiday gift for his fans -- the new track "Happy Hanukkah." While the singer's appearance has changed, the song is infused with the upbeat mashup reggae and rap for which he is famous.
The song will be available tomorrow (Nov. 20) and all proceeds from it will go to Hurricane Sandy relief. "I am from New York and wanted to give back to my incredible community in the wake of Hurricane Sandy," Matis said in a press release. Check it out below!
