As shown in a YouTube clip, Dino singer/guitarist J Mascis dryly introduced The Smiths' Johnny Marr and Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew before tackling the signature song.
"Alright here's Johnny Marr and Kev to sing 'The Wagon' for you," Mascis said before the two sauntered onstage with Drew sporting a toque.
"Kevin Drew!" bassist Lou Barlow exclaimed as they dove into the guitar-heavy rocker.
Throughout the song Marr bravely stood near the notoriously loud rack of amps Mascis is known for while accenting certain parts without hogging the spotlight. Meanwhile, Drew was content to stand at centre stage, briefly turning towards drummer Patrick "Murph" Murphy. Both Mascis and Barlow also briefly provided backing harmonies.
As "The Wagon" concluded, Drew thanked the band before walking offstage with Marr apparently staying on for another number which ended up being The Smiths' "The Boy With the Thorn in His Side." The clip of "The Wagon" has over 1,000 clips and a few comments including the following: "I would've shat my pants during this show."
"it was a good night," Drew tweeted.

"Love and the New York vibe from all at Dinosaur Jr. tonight," Marr tweeted. "On The Wagon and Boy With The Thorn In His Side. Lee Ranaldo rock on."

Ranaldo, the former guitarist with Sonic Youth, appeared with the band for "Little Fury Things."
A YouTube clip also shows "The Boy With The Thorn In His Side" with Mascis singing lead beside Marr. Murphy also gave up his drum kit for this song as The Melvins' Dale Crover took over.
The concert was a celebration of Dinosaur Jr.'s album You're Living All Over Me which was released in 1987. The group played the album in its entirety before playing a string of hits and rolling out the special guests, who also included Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon.
Dinosaur Jr. will launch its European tour behind its latest album I Bet on Sky in Glasgow in late January. From there the group mounts an Australian and New Zealand trek in March.
