As shown on YouTube, Welch can be seen onstage pointing out people in the audience who were fighting.
"Excuse me, all of you, stop it," Welch says with the air of a stern elementary school teacher. "I'm sorry all of you if you're upset."
Welch then points to one female in particular who was upset by the altercation, "Is she okay, is she going to be alright?" she says before motioning her to come near the barricade. Welch then jumps down to find the female, picks her up and gives her a big hug. Soon afterwards she points to more people in the audience, giving the thumbs up to ask if everything is okay and that the fighting has stopped.
After jumping back onstage Welch says, "Everyone's who's friends, kiss and make up and be good to each other!" More cheers erupt before she asks, "Shall we start again?"
According to the Evening Express, the gig at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre continued without incident.
"YES ABERDEEN!!" Welch tweeted later. "#NOSHOES #NO FIGHTING!! we love you Scotland. Xx."
Welch finishes up her 2012 tour dates with a stop tonight in Liverpool and another show Wednesday night in Dublin. As previously reported, the musician and her band were recently nominated for two Grammy Awards including Best Pop Vocal Album.
