Here's a new way to get engaged: A Twitter proposal!

DJ Deadmau5 tweeted to girlfriend Kat Von D yesterday (Dec. 15), "I can't wait for Christmas so... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?" and posted a photo of a diamond engagement ring, adding, "Changing the diamond to a black diamond FYI. Sorry for the jpg ... they'll finish the actual ring soon I hope. I love u."

Kat Von D quickly tweeted back, "Mi corazon [my heart]!!! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations! Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiance!"

Deadmau5 later tweeted, "Holy f**king s**t. Im engaged and stuff! Thanks for the well wishes and support from the horde and everyone else! Brb while i spend the rest of my evening with my future wife."

According to Us Weekly, the "L.A. Ink" star started dating Deadmau5 in September. In November, they temporarily broke up before working things out.

Kat Von D was also engaged to Sandra Bullock's ex husband, Jesse James, before breaking up with him in July 2011.
