With this year's 50th anniversary, the Rolling Stones have achieved a remarkable feat. After all, the longevity of any rock 'n' roll band faces many obstacles, including excessive mortality (The Ramones), bad blood (The Smiths), drug use (Hole), tragedy (The Sex Pistols) and lost will (R.E.M.).
With the Stones recently wrapping a well-publicized mini tour, we wondered what other bands might make it to the half-century mark. So we took a not-so-random look at 20 bands, old and new, and assessed -- on a scale of 1 to 50 -- their chances.

Chicago tours all the time and they are showing no signs of slowing down.

Like we all know if The "BEATLES" were still together no other band would stand a chance.
Or if "JOHN LENNON" were alive and on his own no one would stand a chance.
Look how long it's been since their music has been going on and will be for another 10 decades.
"THE MONGOOSE"
How about Santana?
I saw them in concert just last year, and most of the original members and additional members were all there. It was li9ke having two bands for the price of 1 ticket.. Awesome show...Carlos Santana still rocks, old members, new members all blended in..
I am sure ONE DIRECTION and IL VOLO will do it. They are all non-alcoholic virgins, and that helps these days of drugs and aids.....

It's not the original line up and even if they're just counting the "Rumours" era Fleetwood Mac, Chrstine McVie isn't coming back, so I'd give them a zero. The Who? Half the band is dead. Heck, even the Stones only has three original members remaining.
