Rilo Kiley, New Record? Band Teases Fans With Facebook Announcement

Rilo Kiley gave fans quite the surprise earlier today. The band, which broke up in 2011, wrote the following note on Facebook: "Record is almost finished, and artwork is nearly done. Going to need your help! More to come."

Of course, that might not mean it's a new album. Prior to the band's confirmation of their breakup, frontwoman Jenny Lewis said they were working on a rarities compilation.

"We are putting together a collection of B-sides," she told 944. "Just stuff that has been lying around for many, many years. So we're getting a bunch of songs together and old photographs and sifting through the past."

At the time, she said the album was intended for a late-2011 release, but that never materialized. In a curious move, the band also changed its Facebook cover photo to a picture of handwritten lyrics, some of which are from the song "A Man/Me/Then Jim," off of their 2004 LP More Adventurous.
