People like Madonna use costume changes, elaborate stages and a legion of dancers, a band like Gwar sprays fake blood and goo across the audience while fighting animatronic monster things, and Bruce Springsteen does it by playing actual songs for for four hours.
This week in music history we experienced an uncomfortable yo-yo effect of losing one of the best at this art, while also having to deal with one of the worst.
