15 Strangest Musician Appearances in Commercials

If you're Jay-Z you buy an ownership stake in a basketball team, if you're Sleater-Kinney's Carrie Brownstein you make a television show like Portlandia, but if you're a rocker just looking to be shown the money there's one way to go -- advertising.
In honor of these wallet-first thinkers, we've rounded up the weirdest appearances of musicians in commercials. Surprisingly, insurance hawking is big, while cars and food products are even bigger.
Admittedly, only a few of ads hold a candle to Snoop Dogg and his recent commercial for pistachios. However, their premises are still kind of... nuts.

It was a GREAT commerical! I laughed my head off the first time I saw it!

He's only human, besides business is business

Put Liberals on the moon and they'll go extinct, They can not make it on their own.
Gosh was't it a liberal who put the 1st man on the moon? I could have sworn it was John F. Kennedy who started it and LBJ who finished it? Sounds like two liberals to me.

And, for the idiots who don't know a thing about the Beatles, Ringo was the ONLY one of the bunch who was a trained, professional musician. They've sold zillions of recordings and their fan base is huge. What have you pukes got that compares? Not a thing, of course - which is the only thing all critics are famous for - absolutely nothing! And don't give me your 10-cent musical evaluation. The Beatles gave us what we needed when we needed it and billions of us love every note. What have you done that's anywhere close to that?
Wow! It's too bad the posts relating to Ringo are so derogatory. Obviously not Beatles fans and that's ok. Paul & John, in past interviews, would comment on how after writng, then, while rehearsing a particlular song, they would let Ringo go with his own riffs and how those riffs would change the original sound and ultimately how they recorded the song. I guess you have to be a fan and appreciate all their contributions.

January 09 2013 at 7:33 PM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down ReplyHe was lucky. Of the 4, he was the one with little to no talent. he should thank his lucky stars every night that they even gave him a job. With no talent how he keeps making money is a mystery to many of us.
