As you can see in the AUX TV "Band in a Box" clip below, he used that time crunch for inspiration.
Kid Koala, real name Eric San, and friends created the travel-themed video for "8 Bit Blues" using the resources at hand -- a map, some paper, marker, toys and various trinkets.
"I don't have time to make a video," says Kid Koala, explaining "8 Bit Blues" creation. "Unless we do it in one day, in one take. And that's essentially what happens here."
"8 Bit Blues" starts with a map featuring modified Doodle Track Cars racing over top it. The point being to symbolize the constant touring/traveling adventure Kid Koala deals with. From there toy planes, old phones, postcards, dollar store globes and all sorts of other thematically-related get thrown onto the map in a chaotic jumble.
Basically, exactly like traveling.
"It made sense at the time," says Kid Koala.
