Last week, Great Lake Swimmers' Tony Dekker had us all abuzz with his blazer-wearing prowess in the virtual pages of Mr. Porter, which got us thinking about other musicians who've tried their hands at striking a pose.

But the path between music and modeling is not a one-way street. It's just as common for a model to pick up a guitar as it is for a rock star to trade the stage for a catwalk.

Plenty of professionally pretty young things have been inspired to sing their lives -- or, at the very least, contribute a little tambourine to a Brit-pop song -- for all sorts of reasons over the years.
