According to the Grammys official site White -- who has won nine Grammys over his career with six as a member of the White Stripes -- will perform, but it's unknown which song it'll be. A good guess would be "Freedom at 21" as it's nominated for Best Rock Song. It's also unclear if White will be performing with his all-female backing group (the Peacocks) or his all-male supporting cast (the Buzzards). White is also nominated for Album of the Year and Best Rock Album for Blunderbuss.
Meanwhile Sheeran will be teaming up for a duet with Elton John during the ceremonies, marking the first time the pair have performed together. Sheeran is nominated for Song of the Year for "The A Team" and seemed enthused by the news.
"Il be playing at he Grammys on the 10th of feb, singing a duet of one of my songs with Elton John, very excited about that !" the performer tweeted this morning following the announcement.
The Lumineers -- who performed last weekend on Saturday Night Live -- will also grace the stage. The group are up for Best New Artist as well as Best Americana Album for their self-titled effort.
"So we're playing one of our tunes on @TheGrammys on Feb 10, guess which one?" drummer Jeremiah Fraites tweeted last night with the hashtag #TheWorldIsListening attached. The band released two singles last year including the chart-topping "Ho Hey."
White, Sheeran and The Lumineers join previously named performers Fun., Mumford & Sons and The Black Keys for the show, which will be hosted by LL Cool J. Other performers include Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and country acts Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert.
