Rather, it's about that special period in late-May and early June which seems to be particularly good for making babies who turn into important musical figures.
Margo Timmins (Cowboy Junkies), Gillian Gilbert (New Order), Mike Patton (Faith No More), Rakim, DJ Muggs (Cypress Hill), Sarah McLachlan, Joey Fatone, Nick Carter (Backstreet Boys), Phil Collins, Rick James, Lisa Marie Presley and Big Boi (Outkast) will all celebrate birthdays this week. All because of that restless spring-summer period.
It's almost enough to overshadow actual historical musical happenings like rooftop concerts, fiery hairballs or all-star benefit album get-togethers.
