Consider this year when the unknown (and untalented) keytar-wielding Al Walser somehow landed a Best Dance Recording nomination for his "Friday"-quality song "I Can't Live Without You," causing pretty much the entire Internet to yell "WTF?!" in unison.
Not to downplay Walser's inclusion, but the Grammy Awards have been honoring the dishonorable ever since they began. So we dug into the archives to compile a list of the absolute worst Grammy nominations ever. Not all have won, but c'mon academy voters, none should have even been nominated. Turn up your gramophones!

Mostly it is a self serving organization and more political than honest. Only awards voted on by real people truly matter because that is where the money comes from!!!

February 09 2013 at 11:03 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI reviewed your list of \"poor choices\" and found that each one wholly deserved their nomination! The award is given not only for musical quality, but for the popularity of the piece , and each of these songs was enormously popular ... at the TIME.
The aol writing staff is among the worst ever assembled, no-talent sensationalists whose only skill is in misstating facts to stir up controversy, where none truly exists. If only there were a forum to criticize these jackasses who write about things they know little, and often nothing, about.
God bless Hollywood and the 1percenters

And I have never mised anything Will Smith is in.
I think he is one of the best actors I have ever seen.
The Grammy's have sunk to the level of American Idol. They still haven;t sunk to rock bottom yet like the American Music Awards did by naming Justin Bieber "Artist Of The Year" in 2012.
