The band beat out the Black Keys' El Camino, Fun.'s Some Nights, Frank Ocean's Channel Orange and Jack White's Blunderbuss for the top spot.
"I just want to say Adele is looking beautiful tonight," Mumford member Winston Marshall told the crowd after lead singer Marcus Mumford set off the TV censors when speaking about their British singing cohort.
This is the folk group's first Grammy award. In 2012, the boys earned six nominations but failed to bring any golden gramophones home. Mumford and Sons also won Best Long Form Music Video for their Big Easy Express collaboration with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Old Crow Medicine Show. The band went back to the press room after their big win, beers in hand, and discussed the surreality of their success.
"It's amazing when your heroes, like Eddie Vedder, have even heard of you," Marcus said. "It's f---ing weird!"
Congrats, fellas!

I know i am out of date, because LL Cool J showed M Jackson in a caption and said he was his inspiration.I feel M Jackson was what The Grammys is, and most of the later years in the record business are few and far between as far as talent.I would like for 'everyone' to be able to 'vote' for who they believe has the most talent.I wonder who selects the "presenters" and why they were chosen. However I must confess I was channel surfing during the program,I just can't figure out 'the hype' about Beyounce & JZ?
