Kai the Hatchet Hitchhiker Performs an Original Song -- Video

You've probably heard of Kai, the hatchet-wielding traveling kid, from your BFFs by now. He's a sensation! He's even been AutoTuned. Thankfully, we can take an even closer look inside the hobo mind of the Internet's latest hero.

Speaking to the only news station that covers Kai local Central San Joaquin Valley Fox affiliate, KMPH News, the "smash, smash, Suh-masher" has quite the soft side -- and a knack for beach-worthy rock 'n' roll.

"Here's one I wrote," Kai says to the camera before stumbling into a rootsy chug, his signature peace-sign-bedazzled bandana resting over a tuffle of scraggled hair.

As our friends at Death and Taxes point out, Kai's song isn't half bad! It's got elements of pop-punk and a pretty good hook to boot. I can only imagine that someone will stumble upon Kai's musical talent within the next 48 hours, and aggressively pursue signing him to a 360 deal.

But be cautious A&R goons -- Kai still has a hatchet.
