Jesse Boykins III, 'Strange Recreation' -- Live Video Premiere + Interview

On a cool winter night in Los Angeles, Spinner visited Red Bull's studio in Santa Monica, where soul singer Jesse Boykins III and his band were filming a live rendition of "Strange Recreation," from his 2012 collaboration LP with producer/MC Melo-X, Zulu Guru.

Boykins, whose eclectic style and considerable talents have inspired comparisons to Bilal and Andre 3000, is a vibrant performer with an impressive vocal range, and a wonderfully sincere presence on stage.

Having had the pleasure of watching his performance in person, we're excited to debut Boykins' "Strange Recreation" video, recorded live at Red Bull studios.
