In the clip, directed R.J. Sanchez, the L.A.-based singer frolics through a motel with a model, but things aren't as fun as they seem.
"'Allison' is a song I wrote about a girl's obsession with another girl who represents fame, style, glamour and fun," Anjulie tells Spinner. "It's about pop culture and the fanatic desire people have either to become the It Girl or be friends with her. In the video, Allison is played by the amazingly captivating Lola Blanc and the matching blue and red wigs show both the playfulness and intensity of their relationship.
"We shot it in a motel in South Central, Los Angeles in a series of dark dream sequences that are meant to show the delusion of the fantasy. While the verses are about the yearning to be near her ('Allison, you got me on a treasure hunt/ golden gun, been lookin for you, Allison') the chorus speaks more to to Allison ('and so you tell yourself there's nothing for you tonight/I know it feels like hell, you got that look in your eye') sympathizing with both the obsessor and her obsession."
