"They [the producers] have him as a foul-mouthed megalomaniac and they depict him as a Minotaur," she tells "Entertainment Tonight." "Like he draws people into his labyrinth and he locks them in and won't let them out."
HBO says the film starring Al Pacino as Phil is a "work of fiction, but based on fact," but Rachelle strongly disagrees.
Rachelle, who became a private investigator to help her husband's case, insists that he's innocent.
"During the trials, they characterized him as a monster," she tells ET. "This guy [Phil] couldn't hurt a fly. He had no gunshot residue on him at all. He was wearing white, and if you're in the vicinity of an intraoral gunshot wound... it's like 5,000 pounds per square inch of pressure -- you would have blood, tissue and particles [all over you]. Her [Clarkson's] two front teeth were actually ejected to the top of the stairs. There was nothing on him."
She also adds that was "absolutely not" ever scared for her life around him.
Despite the drama involving the movie and trying to prove her husband's innocence, Spector says she does everything she can to maintain a normal relationship with Phil, including visiting him every weekend in prison.
"We spend five-six hours together holding hands," she shares. "You're allowed one hug, one kiss. We eat and we talk and sometimes we just hold hands and try to take a nap together."
The movie, titled "Phil Spector" airs March 24 on HBO.

Of course, Rachelle Spector is biased as is David Mamet, he had to be pro-Phil so that the movie could use the Spector original music. If you want to see a black comedy that will offend all sides of the pro-Phil-anti Phil-pro Lana Clarkson-anti Lana Clarkson camps check out the new indie film you can stream now:The Phil Spector Incident: I Think I Just Shot Her. March 17 2013 at 12:03 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI'm still hoping for the day Rachelle does an interview with someone that is willing to ask hard questions and do some fact-checking and questions her about the flaws in what she says or claims.
If I could afford it, I'd pay to see that.
Mr Spector may have a lot of talent, money and influence, but from reading Ronnie Spectors (Phil's ex wife) from all girl group (The
Ronettes) version of him back in the late 60's and early 70's he was a control freak, and basically kept her prisoner in their home! From Ronnie Spector's version of him he was a became a total whack job, or a monster, total control freak! Ronnie Spector's had the old hit song (Be My Little Baby) and the Christmas Songs ( I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, and Frosty The Snowman).
I read that book also and his ex-wife said he started real weird and kept her like a prisoner and she was very afraid of him. And I think he had did that to someone else too. His wife maybe didn't get a chance to see that side of him yet. But he is crazy from what the women he had been involved him.

March 16 2013 at 8:21 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplySo, is she trying to say that Lana committed suicide after Phil shoved the gun in her moiuth? LOL
March 16 2013 at 7:35 AM Report abuse Permalink -1 rate up rate down ReplyIt's VERY obvious he killed Lana Clarkson. He immediately confessed to the murder after it happened to his own driver!! He claims she shot herself, but her teeth were all over the floor!! Nobody presses the barrell of a gun against their own clenched teeth and pull the trigger!! Not to mention he was so belligerent with his arresting officers that they had to use a tazer on him!!
But I'm not going to watch this special anyway. Not especially after they made that one about Jack Kevorkian, also played by Al Pacino, and made that movie incredibly biased.
Both the defense and the prosecution put on their very best case. The defense counsel for this case is legendary and they did their best but Spector was still found guilty and as the law states, "beyond a reasonable doubt." While I'm sure that like anything Hollywood produces the film took poetic license and placed Spector in the worst possible light personality wise, there's no doubt in my mind that he is guilty as charged and behind bars where he belongs.
March 16 2013 at 8:09 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyRachelle Spector said that the victims teeth flew outward and up to the top of the stairs, and there was no blood, or tissue or gunshot residue on her husband. The only way those teeth would have flown out and upward is if the gun barrel was ''inside the victims mouth and the barrel pointing up and out as it would have been if SHE pulled the trigger. If Spector had been anywhere in FRONT of the victim, there would have been evidence on his clothes and on his hands. There is more than one reason he would have said he ''killed her'' right after her death. If he has a conscience at all, he would have felt the guilt of having driven someone to kill themselves, for one thing. He would have felt ''responsible'' for her death, and I think that is what the jury felt when they convicted him. The scientific evidence for murder is not there.
March 17 2013 at 11:24 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyPhil has done a lot of good for So many persons. I do not know him, but met him a few times when he was helping S&C get rolling. Then, he was a quiet, but most effective Giant of making mole hills into mountains. I have never heard any monies he did not share correctly in business. As for Lana, from what Rachelle describes the scene as, no way could he have done it. I hope Phil can get out of this fiasco sooner rather than later. His only fault that I know of was being high on himself, and usually high in general. Good luck, Man.
Cathy
You're easily persuaded.
March 16 2013 at 7:35 AM Report abuse Permalink -1 rate up rate down ReplySorry to inform you, my father did have GSR on him but was not brought up in court because he was the owner of 14 guns. GSR was expected to be on him, whether he shot the gun or not. There was blood spatter and tissue found in his hair which places him in close proximity of the blast. The gun had a shortened barrel which would have placed the hand a lot closer to the mouth, blocking most of the blast and material from him except for a few minute particles that did land on the jacket. Those particles would not have been able to travel more than a few feet again, placing him a lot closer than Rachelle wants to admit. All of this info was proven during the trial.
Also, Rachelle was not even in the picture then, how would she know anything other than what she was told. She was hired to be Michelle Blains Assistant.
Also, one question to conceder, what good does it do to become a Detective after the case goes to trial and as a "Detective", what evidence has she ever brought forth? She admitted to having in her possession Lana Clarkson's diary but choose to keep it from the trial. What kind of a "Detective" does that make her. Besides, when I did a basic search, it turned out that her license was from another Country anyway, if the info I came across (from her site), was even accurate.
we cant beleive everyting we read,,,,all of us was not there at the shooting,,,so lets not bring him down

March 16 2013 at 8:17 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyphil spector, has always been weird and disruptive. The older he got the crazier his behavior, and more the look in his eyes look wild and insane, hence, a patholgical killer.
March 16 2013 at 2:06 AM Report abuse Permalink -1 rate up rate down ReplyActually, from what I've heard from those close to him, the 7 years prior to Feb 3, 2003, he was sober and in a dating relationship (which promptly ended Feb 4th). For those years, he was a decent person and once even reached out to me as a father (May 1999). It was the last time I ever saw him face to face. I just wish it happened more often.
