Five Things About the Rentals
1. Frontman Matt Sharp is the former bass player for Weezer.
2. In 1995, the Rentals released their debut album, 'Return of the Rentals.' In 2007, the Rentals actually returned from a six-year break.
3. The band performed a month-long residency at Spaceland in Los Angeles.
4. Sharp says that his synthesizers have a "mind of their own. They decide how they want to work and when they want to work."
5.Sharp and former keyboardist Tom Grimley came up with the name 'Return of the Rentals' for the first album.
