Danny Marianino will live in infamy as the man who cleaned Glenn Danzig's clock by delivering the punch heard 'round the metal world.

When his band North Side Kings opened for the oft-surly former Misfits singer back in 2004, an altercation took place, resulting in Marianino clocking ol' Glenn and knocking him to the ground. The incident was captured on video and became a viral sensation within the punk and metal community.

The punch is remembered (fondly by Danzig haters) nearly a decade later. It's also the reason that Marianino wrote a book, Don't Ever Punch a Rockstar: A Collection of Hate Mail and Other Crazy Rumors. It turns out he is a victim of cyberbullying due to the incident, and the book sheds light on the overall epidemic.

In a chat with Vice, Marianino recalled the punch and why he penned the book.

What Spurred the Altercation? While Marianino joked that NSK ate Danzig's French onion soup and that the singer's manicurist was late, leading to his foul mood, he revealed the origins of the fight was rock star ego. "The show fell behind due to the promoter being disorganized. Glenn refused to push his time back and we, along with three other bands, were forced to play after him on the condition that he announced the other bands. He didn't announce the bands and closed the show, so we all got fucked over. I went to talk to him. He started yelling, so did I, then he put his hands on me. He pushed me into a wall and yelled 'Fuck you motherfucker!' A U.K. man who won $232,000,000 (or £148 million) thanks to the lottery last week is attempting to use his winnings to get the original lineup of Guns N' Roses to reunite.

Adrian Bayford, 41, runs a music shop in Haverhill, Suffolk. He informed The Sun (quotes courtesy of NME.com) that he would happily spend some of his luckily earned funds on getting the original members of GN'R -- Axl Rose, Slash, Duff, Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler -- back on stage together for a performance.

News broke last night (June 28) that Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe was arrested in Prague and now stands accused of manslaughter.

Metal Sucks has translated a Czech Republic news story, reporting that the singer's arrest stemmed from an onstage altercation from May of 2010. A fan reportedly leapt on the stage during the band's May 24 show in Prague and engaged in a physical altercation with Blythe. The fan ultimately died as a result of the injuries he sustained, which lead to Blythe being arrested and charged two years later.

The band canceled its performance at the Rock Café in Prague last night. Though Lamb of God's channels have been quiet, they sent out a single tweet "#FreeRandyBlythe" just last evening.

Maria Ferrero, a spokesperson for the band, told The Examiner that Randy has been "wrongly accused." Lawyers are dealing with the situation and his team expects that he will be "fully exonerated."

Blink-182 have been forced to cancel their upcoming tour dates due to a medical emergency. Drummer Travis Barker had to undergo an tonsillectomy and even posted copious updates about the procedure and his progress on his Twitter feed, which is the 2012 digital equivalent of a doctor's note.

The kit minder is in some serious pain while her recovers, posting: "My throat still feels like I'm swallowing broken f------ glass. Looking forward 2 this being over with. #Day6." Ouch. That doesn't sound fun. At all.

He also tweeted "My throat is still bleeding from getting my tonsils yanked" in response to a fan asking why a gig was canceled.

Barker, who survived a plane crash in 2008, did share that he is enjoying green tea ice cream three times a day to help cool and heal his aching throat, which is one small perk of the recovery process and period.

UPDATE: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has removed Guns N' Roses from the April 14 ceremony's itinerary, including their induction by Green Day. Despite their removal, a Rock Hall spokesman tells E! news "We are sorry Axl will not be able to accept his induction in person. We are looking forward to still inducting Guns N' Roses this weekend and will proceed forward with our original plan whether Axl is present or not."

ORIGINAL STORY: After months of speculation and "Will they or won't they?" curiosity and speculation about whether or not the original members of Guns N' Roses would get on stage and perform at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction on April 14, it turns out, they won't. While the other members expressed willingness and an openness at the prospect and discussed the possibility in the press, it all remained up to frontman (and owner of the name) Axl Rose.

And Axl's not going nor is he accepting in absentia. Judging from the text of his letter, it sure sounds like he is really pissed off at the comments made by former drummer Steven Adler, who referred to the current lineup as "hacks" and that was the straw the broke the camel's back.

The singer penned an open letter to the Hall and to fans, as well as interested parties. The entire text of that letter, obtained by the L.A. Times, is below and unedited.

The original lineup of Guns N' Roses -- Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler -- will be on site at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony which will be held on April 14 in Cleveland.

Keyboardist Dizzy Reed, who is the longest-tenured member of the current incarnation of Guns N' Roses besides Axl himself, shared the good news in a new interview with Billboard (via our metal bros at Noisecreep).

"I know that all the original band is going to be there," Reed revealed. "I don't know exactly what's going to go down. It's one of those things I'm sure will all come together and be really cool. I'm just going to go in with a good attitude and a clear head and a grateful heart."

On May 22, the Cult will be releasing 'Choice of Weapon,' the group's first studio album in five years. For the new collection, they started the project with producer Chris Goss (Queens of the Stone Age) and closed it out with their longtime collaborator Bob Rock (Metallica, Bon Jovi), who also produced one of band's most successful albums, 1989's 'Sonic Temple.'

The Cult vocalist Ian Astbury spoke with Spinner about the new album and how living in New York City inspired it.

The last thing The Cult released was a "capsule," featuring two new songs, live recordings of some of the band's huge hits and exclusive video footage, in 2010. Can you reiterate why you did that then and chose to do an album now?

We wanted to release music, but didn't want to get entrenched in the process. We didn't want to go back to a label and were not in the space to do an entire album. We were accumulating material, and wanted to get songs out there and the idea of an EP didn't fit contemporary modality of the digital realm. Jon Bon Jovi is still alive.

Yesterday evening, Dec. 19, the Bon Jovi frontman was the subject of an online death hoax. A rep for the 49-year-old singer said that JBJ is alive, well and performing at a charity event. So not only did he not die, but he keeps on doing good deeds for others. Perhaps he played 'Wanted Dead or Alive?'

Rumors of his death circulated widely and quickly on the interwebs yesterday and he blew up as trending Twitter topic after a fake press release began circulating and began being retweeted. The false report looks like it might have been copied from a Los Angeles Times story that announced the death of Michael Jackson.

A photo taken of Bon Jovi holding a sign that reads "Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey, Dec. 19, 2011, 6:00," was posted on Facebook by a photographer friend of the iconic singer last night.

Former Runaways Joan Jett and Lita Ford have patched up their differences -- over dinner and guitar picks.

The onetime 'Queens of Noise' had not spoken in several years, but Ford first extended the olive branch to Jett, even though she feared that her former teenage bandmate might snub her peace offering.

"I hadn't seen her for so long. We exchanged guitar picks. I just thought it was about time to see her," Ford told the Chicago Tribune. Former X Japan bassist Taiji Sawada has died at the age of 45. He died Sunday, July 17, while in the hospital, after being removed from life support. Sawada left the band, which is massively popular in its native Japan but only making a go of it in America as we speak, in 1992 and went on to perform in Loudness and DTR in the aftermath.

The circumstances surrounding Sawada's death are as follows: He was arrested on July 11th and charged with allegedly assaulting a female member of a Delta Airline Flight 298 crew, which was en route to Saipan from Tokyo. For Record Store Day (April 16), legendary label ROIR and hardcore godfathers Bad Brains are teaming up to re-release one of the most important pieces of wax in the punk canon: the 'Pay to Cum' 7-inch vinyl single. The reissue will feature a remastered version of the single, which was originally produced by Jimmy Quidd and released in 1980, and will be available at all indie retail outlets participating in the Record Store Day program.

'Pay to Cum' returns to store shelves with its original artwork and lyric sheet insert. Who wouldn't want to be Kilmister, the vocalist, bassist and all around badass who's been fronting the legendary British hard rock band Motörhead since 1975? Thanks to 'Guitar Hero: Metallica,' due in stores this spring, "being" Lemmy is possible, since he will appear as a playable character in the game.

Gamers will have the option to either watch Lemmy's in-game likeness as he hammers away at his bass and sings in his signature, whiskey-drenched vocals, or they can step into his cowboy boots and learn to play Motörhead's 2008 re-recorded version of their biggest hit, the anthemic 'Ace of Spades.'

"It's great to be in 'Guitar Hero' with all these famous people and I'm really pleased to be in it with Metallica," Lemmy said, "but [frontman] James [Hetfield] is still taller than me."

It was only a matter of time before Metallica got their own edition of 'Guitar Hero.' Just see their 20 million cumulative albums sold and a recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for reasons why. The game, formally titled 'Guitar Hero: Metallica,' features (naturally) a bevy of Metallica tracks, as well as personally selected tunes by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Slayer and Foo Fighters.

The game's storyline was inspired by a European band who shadowed Metallica in a beat up van on an entire overseas tour, hoping for a chance to open for their idols. GHM encourages fans to rip through Metallica anthems and then create their own band.

Metallica was involved in every developmental detail, according to Neversoft game designer and old school Metallica fan Alan Flores, who feels this edition's polished cohesion makes it the best version of 'Guitar Hero.' Ever. "We wanted to put so much in and we had to hold back," Flores tells Spinner.
