Most of us know one person who has openly admitted to disliking Beyoncé Knowles Carter, but not many more. The conversation is probably a pretty vivid memory: Maybe it involved a slamming of the brakes, maybe it was a jaw dropping to the floor, probably it came with a general sense of Cronenberg-like horror. (If you happen to be that person who did the admitting, especially in the car, god help you, as well as whoever was in the driver's seat.) It's like finding out a close friend can't stand Harry Potter. Or chocolate. Nobody doesn't like Beyoncé!

This weekend, we've already brought you two advice manuals for your first All Tomorrow's Parties. The last day is by far the hardest, but you've made it this far, so don't stop now! Here's the final installment:

At this point in the game, ibuprofen and coffee are your only friends. Let them be good to you. When you arrive late, sleepy and/or hung over, savor what little of Braids' set as you possibly can. Thank the gods that a band who should've gotten a nighttime performance is getting a daytime slot, because it turns out you needed the electric jolt.

If you felt Vetiver was lacking something in the way of enthusiasm, Tall Firs will be the antidote. They'll make their sleepy late afternoon set entertaining despite its mellowness, telling back stories behind songs (about psychic and psycho ex-girlfriends) and feigning outrage that the staff "stole" their drinks backstage. The banter will provide an easy transition into the rest of the day.

Yesterday, we gave you tips for your first day at your first ATP: I'll Be Your Mirror. Here's your field manual for day two - things are in full-swing now, and it's time to rev your engines.

Eat something before you make a go of the second day at Pier 36 -- the food trucks aren't overpriced, but the drinks sure are. Conserve your cash; it's all about endurance today. Notice, upon arrival, that today's crowd has attempted to even out the beard-to-sundress ratio somewhat. Everything will look more like summer camp in the light of day. Don't miss Emeralds because you took forever to get ready. Everyone who made it out in time will swear you missed something special and you will feel bad about yourself, even though it sounds like it must've been bizarre to see the electro trio unfurl their hazy, stargaze-y aesthetic in daylight on an outdoor stage under a highway.

Almost everyone who has ever attended All Tomorrow's Parties will describe it to you with one particular word: "special." Birthed in 1999 in the UK by Barry Hogan and partner/wife Deborah Kee Higgins as an artist-curated "excellent mixtape" of a festival, ATP has seen myriad iterations, from its roots in Camber Sands, Sussex with Belle and Sebastian as curators to its expansion worldwide to countries like Japan, Australia and the U.S., simultaneously developing a fanbase that has followed it around the globe over the past 13 years: sort of like a convention, only for a very specific brand of music nerd. A Burning Man for the flannel-beard-and-glasses variety, if you will.

If you've never been to an ATP, but would consider yourself a live music fan, you'll possess a vague understanding of this phenomenon, but it's hard to truly until you actually show up to one. Doing so for the first time is challenging, especially if you're not 100% plugged into the lineup's offerings (this year curated by the Afghan Whigs' Greg Dulli), but stick to this helpful guide, and you'll be fine. We hope.
