Day Two: Overheard in Austin: Hipster One, "Dude, we've been here for six days already." Hipster Two, "Nah, dude, we've been here for seven." Hipster One, "Man ... today's gonna be a bad day, yo."

This festival does seem to have a way of suspending people's realities and perhaps pushing them off the deep end a bit. But I was only on day two, so luckily, my spirits were a little higher than my pessimistic hipster friends. Tori Amos and I are having a staring contest. OK, maybe not. But as the flame-haired icon sits across from me on a rainy Tuesday in New York City, her piercing and unwavering gaze won't allow me look away, blink, disengage. Not that I want to. It's been almost a week since Madonna's halftime show at the Super Bowl -- and for the most part, the reviews have been positive. However, the one dark cloud hovering over Madge's sporty triumph came courtesy of her duet partner, M.I.A. and her middle finger. Surprise,surprise: Madonna is none too pleased about it!

During an interview this morning (Feb. 10) with Ryan Seacrest, Madge admitted that she "wasn't happy about" the M.I.A .bird flip. Now that the guilty verdict of Dr. Conrad Murray has been delivered, the estate of Michael Jackson is looking to move on in a more positive direction. Currently, MJ's family and lawyers are shifting their attentions to making sure his legacy stays strong, specifically on the silver screen. Variety reports today that the King of Pop's estate is meeting with producers to begin production on a Jackson biopic in the upcoming years.

According to Variety: "John Branca, the executor of the Jackson estate, has approached Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock's Montecito Picture Company about the possibility of producing and financing a Jackson biopic. The project would only cover certain periods of the late singer's life."

News of the impeding project has Hollywood in a tizzy, with insiders already speculating on what actor would be perfect to play Michael. In the days since his guilty verdict in the Michael Jackson manslaughter trial, Dr. Conrad Murray has remained oddly silent. So many questions linger about the physicians mindset on the fateful afternoon of MJ's death and the exact nature of Murray and Jackson's relationship. But all that is about to change with the announcement that MSNBC is planning to air the special, 'Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Friendship' this Friday (Nov. 11) at 10 p.m., Eastern time.

According to the Daily Mail, the documentary began filming in November 2009, five months after MJ's death in June, and features a series of exclusive interviews with the doctor. In one chilling moment, Murray describes the last minutes of Michael's life, and the alleged last words of the musical idol.

Adele finally has good news to cheer her up since having to cancel her US tour! It was announced today (Oct. 11) that the British songstress leads the pack of AMA nominations this year, scoring four noms for her second album, '21.' Adele's up for Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist and Favorite Album for her work on the critically acclaimed LP. Hot on Adele's heels are Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna and The Band Perry, who all scored three AMA nominations.

Voting has already opened for the viewer-chosen award show, with many eyes on the diverse New Artist of the Year category.
