It's being called the first music video made in space.

In an online video, astronaut Chris Hadfield sings the David Bowie song "Space Oddity" while floating around in zero gravity aboard the International Space Station.

The video features shots of a floating guitar that would look like a Hollywood special effect anywhere else. It also shows arresting images of the space station orbiting over Earth.

David Bowie has released a new music video for the title track from his album "The Next Day" and it's causing quite the controversy.

The NSFW-ish video features Marion Cotillard as a prostitute suffering from a severe case of stigmata and Gary Oldman as a perverted bishop in a church that also serves as a brothel. Needless to say, religious types aren't impressed.

The video was directed by edgy auteur Floria Sigismondi, who also helmed "The Runaways" and has made clips for the likes of the White Stripes,Interpol and Nine Inch Nails in the past.

What will Bowie do next? We've got no idea. The Lonely Island released a video today for their new single "Spring Break Anthem," a video that mixes spring break hijinx with same-sex marriage and wedding planning.

In a sneaky swerve the video starts off as a new edition of actor Zach Galifianakis' Funny Or Die "Between Two Ferns" series. In it the "Hangover" star interviewsJames Franco. After some quick questions about Franco's film "127 Hours" ("127 hours, is that how many hours you look in the mirror every day?") and other bizarre inquiries ("Your face resembles James Dean's, is it safe to say your sausage resembles Jimmy Dean's?") and hosting the Academy Awards, Galifianakis stops the interview to introduce The Lonely Island.

The Rolling Stones opened up their 2013 North American leg of their "50 And Counting..." tour Friday night in Los Angeles, but it was rather obvious special guest Gwen Stefani didn't quite get the memo.

Late Beastie Boys member Adam "MCA" Yauch is getting a New York City park named after him.

City officials are turning the Brooklyn Heights-area Palmetto Playground into "Adam Yauch Playground."

The rapper, who died at age 47 due to throat cancer, actually used to hang out in the park. Montreal electro-popster Grimes and breakout R&B star Frank Ocean were announced as 2013 Webby Award winners in New York earlier today.

But the duo didn't win their Webbys, awarded generally for "excellence on the Internet including websites, interactive advertising, online film & video and mobile content," for their music so much as for their bold online stances.

Alternative metallers Deftones honored dead rapper Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly of Kris Kross last night by performing the kid-friendly group's 1992 hit "Jump" at the Pageant in St. Louis, Missouri.

Kelly had died earlier in the day at an Atlanta hospital.

While outwardly it would seem strange for an intense, heavy act like Deftones to salute Kris Kross, the band has faced its own tragedy in recent months -- Deftones bassist Chi Cheng passed away at 42 in April -- so they could surely understand surviving KK member Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith's pain.

Spinner Canada has been pro-Of Monsters and Men ever since the Icelandic six-piece landed in North America last spring on a quest to buy some kindly stranger a beer.

From there we've carefully traced their befuddlement at becoming big-time MTV Video Awards-level artists, and been charmed by their belief in the existence of trolls.

And all the while the band's My Head is an Animal album and its songs like "From Finner" and "Your Bones" have been like a constant gang-singing, dancing-under-a-volcano party in our heads.

We're back with more photos from Day Two of Coachella.

Highlights of the day included a typically intense set by hardcore band Trash Talk, a shirtless Action Bronson, a Hot Chip performance that reminded us years past, a ripping set by punk legends the Descendents, and a predictably chilly, ethereal Sigur Ros headlining show.

While many fans hoped for a Daft Punk/Phoenix reunion during the French band's performance at the Coachella stage, we were treated to something vastly more random; a surprise appearance by R. Kelly. Kellz led with "Ignition," backed by Phoenix's "1901," and a rendition of "I'm a Flirt," to the tune of the band's new track "Chloroform." The robots never showed, but nobody seemed to mind.

RIP Jimmy 'Fast Fingers' Dawkins, Dead at 76Delmark Records

Chicago blues guitarist Jimmy "Fast Fingers" Dawkins has died at 76, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. The sad news came from Dawkins' family today (April 10), but the cause of his passing has not yet been disclosed.

Jimmy Dawkins was born in Mississippi and moved to Chicago in 1955. He became renowned as part of the "West Side Sound" of the Chicago blues scene, though some of his greatest acclaim came from Japan and Europe.

Dawkins released 21 albums over five decades. His first album, Fast Fingers, came out on Delmark Records in 1969 while his final LP, Tell Me Baby, came out in 2004.

Dawkins both headlined bands and played backup guitar in others, playing with the likes of Nora Jean Wallace and Billy Flynn. Dawkins recorded for labels Delmark and Earwig Records; he also owned a record label, called Leric.

Reports are rolling in that Peter Murphy, of British post-punk/goth-rock band Bauhaus, was arrested Saturday for a hit-and-run, possible DUI and drug possession.

The "Bela Lugosi's Dead" singer, who left Bauhaus in 1983, allegedly rear-ended a vehicle in Glendale, Calif., a town near Los Angeles. The driver of the other vehicle was injured in the crash; Murphy, 55, is said to have fled the scene and headed to Los Angeles. He was then chased and detained by an eyewitness in a pickup truck until police arrived. The good samaritan, according to a statement from Glendale police, "was afraid [Murphy] would kill someone with his driving."

The Glendale News-Press reports that Murphy, who is from England but now lives in Turkey, appeared confused and disoriented but denied having consumed any alcohol. According to police, Murphy admitted to taking his prescription anti-depressants, and claimed that his disorientation was due to jetlag.

The officers reported finding a small plastic baggie possibly containing methamphetamine in the patrol car where Murphy had been detained. The News-Press reports that Murphy denied it belonged to him, but the officers believed he was trying to discard it in the patrol car.
