Gaslight Anthem

After the release of American Slang, Brian Fallon didn't know if he had anymore songs in him. His band, the Gaslight Anthem, seemed to be at a standstill. It was in this moment of uncertainty that he wrote "45," the first single from their upcoming album Handwritten, which is due out July 24.

"I didn't know what was going to happen. After American Slang, after The '59 Sound, I was like, 'What am I gonna do?'" Fallon says in the exclusive video below. "Is there any more Gaslight songs? It's a scary thing when that feeling hits you. After we wrote the song '45,' I was like 'Thank God.' I just knew it was gonna be all right."

"I think "45" was in there for a long time," he tells Spinner. "I was looking for something guttural that could just be yelled at the top of your lungs. The video for Matt Skiba and the Sekrets' "Voices" begins with two young women in a room, one reading the palm of the other. The reader predicting a perfect life for her subject -- living to 86 years, a marriage of 70. However, things take a dark turn when she predicts a loss. Things take an even darker turn when the palm reader turns into some form of crazy demon lady. Then things get pretty weird.

"Voices" is the lead off track on Babylon, the debut album of the Alkaline Trio frontman's side project. Take a look at the video below and pick up the LP, which is available now. Providence's the Dear Hunter began as a side project of Casey Crescenzo, but as one listen to "Never Forgive Never Forget" from their Color Spectrum project will show you, it has become a full band project of brutalizing force.

"I received a Twitter alert to my phone mentioning @therealtdh and a new 'official' video from the band," vocalist Casey Crescenzo explains to Spinner of the new video. "Before this we had decided to throw in the towel on making a video, so this news was a bit confusing. Paul Simon's landmark album Graceland is enjoying its 25th anniversary with a host of awesome things -- a Graceland tour and "Under African Skies," a documentary of the making of the album chief among them. One thing that is probably not going to happen however is a new recording from Simon and Garfunkel.

According to NME, Paul Simon has rendered the possibility of a reunion less than likely. Deadmau5 has made clear his dislike of Jersey Shoreman turned DJ Pauly D before, but he certainly isn't afraid to continue his beef with the celebrity personality. According to TMZ, while shooting a music video in Los Angeles over the weekend, the DJ was asked if he thought Pauly D had any real talent. He promptly responded, "No, not really."

Though he did backtrack a little bit, he essentially stood by his position. Then again, in a blog post last week he sarcastically observed that, "since Pauly D and his hair obviously has no need for my advice, let me elaborate pass it along to someone who's actually serious about music." Russia's Tesla Boy have been making their brand of '80s-heavy synth pop since 2008, but the sound of their newest single "Fantasy" is best described by them.

"'Fantasy' is the first single of the new album. This song is about hidden desires, thoughts and fantasies, which people think improper or indecent to reveal," singer and keyboardist Anton Sevidov tells Spinner. For Americana, Neil Young's first album with the band Crazy Horse in nearly nine years, the singer-songwriter revisits classic American folk songs and delivers the tunes, which encompass familiar protest songs, murder ballads and campfire songs, with electrifying ferocity. Bono, that guy from U2, is set to become the world's richest musician in the world when Facebook's IPO starts trading tomorrow, NME reports. He will overtake Paul McCartney (that guy from the Beatles) and will likely commemorate the occasion with a very heartfelt "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!"

The Irish singer owns 2.3 percent of the Facebook shares after having purchased them at $90 million in 2009. Now that the company is worth over $100 billion, Bono will be worth more than $1.5 billion. The tributes to the Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch keep on coming. One of the better ones we've seen though is this awesome reenactment of their landmark video "Sabotage." Portlandian filmmaker James Winters conscripted his two children and his nephew to act in this faithful (for the most part) facsimile of the original video. Considering MCA only passed away 11 days ago, this undertaking is quite impressive.

Music icon and Hollywood legend Frank Sinatra died May 14, 1998. On the 14th anniversary of his death, his daughter singer Nancy Sinatra, launched an angry tirade against her stepmother for keeping her away from her late father's deathbed. She even went so far as to call her stepmother, former Las Vegas showgirl Barbara Marx Sinatra, "evil personified," Contactmusic reports.

Mark Ronson: Paul McCartney Saved Me From Drowning

Turns out Sir Paul McCartney is just as noble as his knighthood would suggest. The ex-Beatle saved producer-extraordinaire Mark Ronson from drowning in the Long Island Sound when Ronson was just a child.

Apparently Ronson, who was too young to remember and heard the story from his mother, wasn't entirely convinced the tale was true.
