Lily Allen's Dog Stolen

According to a recent posting on Lily Allen's MySpace, her dog Maggie May was stolen from a parked van while in the custody of a friend. Allen urges anyone in the London area who has seen her dog to contact her via MySpace.

We at Spinner have a few questions for Ms. Allen. Who kidnaps a dog? Did they know it was Lily's? Why was the dog in a parked van? Who is this friend of yours? Is this for real? WTF? Anyway, Londoners should be on the lookout for Maggie May.

Grizzly Bear Robbed, Cuts Tour Short

Over the last few months, experimental Brooklyn outfit Grizzly Bear released a fantastic record ('Yellow House'), toured with TV on the Radio and recorded a pretty amazing Interface session here at Spinner HQ.

Grizzly Bear's momentum was brought to a screeching halt by thieves in Brussels over the weekend. The band reported on their website that much of their gear was stolen and they were literally left with just the clothes on their back. The band regretfully canceled a slew of European dates and headed home to regroup and take care of urgent family matters. Get the full story and canceled tour dates here.

Kid Millionaire Loses More Than a Few Pounds

Steve Aoki is no stranger to media attention. After all, he's the son of Benihana owner Rocky Aoki, the founder of Dim Mak Records and the brother of model/actress Devon Aoki. He also runs the West Coast equivalent to MisShapes (Tuesdays at Cinespace) and spins retro-rock and electro under the moniker Kid Millionaire.

While in NYC this past Saturday, Steve and his new Dim Mak artist Nathan Blake (Whitey) rushed out of a cab and left behind a bag containing the masters of the group's new album and 1,000 U.K. pounds. Bummer! New Yorkers, keep an eye out for a cabbie rocking new spinner rims and a hot system booming ill dance-rock.
