They might not hail from the States -- in fact Spinner was the band's first stop when they landed stateside -- but these London lads (Mumford & Sons) produce a sound that's every bit as Americana as our other folk-rock favorites, the Avett Brothers. That authenticity is reinforced by the band's collection of highly memorable tunes, excerpts of which we've found ourselves humming weeks after that first hearing of their full length offering, 'Sigh No More.'

uh, fyi they only use one swear word in one of their songs, yes its the f bomb but fitting for the song...and they do play at huge concerts in the States and their tickets get sold out within moments....having only one cd and performing at the Grammys last year with Bob Dylan....so I do believe they've moved past the Irish Pubs...and they are wicked fun live!! Their lyrics are deep, moving, old literature style and brilliant....
