The Montreal pop quintet Stars' second visit to the Interface finds them in a haunted frame of mind. Their customarily heart-on-sleeve lyrics are infused with a quiet melancholy that keeps the songs from becoming overly sentimental, while the sweet-sounding duets from Amy Millan and Torquil Campbell serve to provide the appropriate chills.
