Warpaint, 'Set Your Arms Down' (Interface)

The Los Angeles-based fourpiece is comprised of Emily Kokal (vocals/guitar), Theresa Wayman (guitar/vocals), Stella Mozgawa (drums/keyboards) and Jenny Lee Lindberg (bass/vocals), whose sister, actress Shannyn Sossamon ('A Knight's Tale,' 'The Rules of Attraction'), used to play drums in the band.

Warpaint's sound manages to be wistful, fragile and powerful all at once. Jangling guitars weave in and out of Kokal's and Wayman's sweet, smoky harmonies while Mozgawa and Lindberg dish out a hefty, defiant rhythm.
