Artifact
Sisyphus Corporation
In using 30 Seconds to Mars and their legal battles with their label EMI as a springboard for discussing the greater issues and ills currently facing the music industry, director Bartholomew Cubbins has crafted a documentary that actually holds some appeal outside of the band's fanbase. There's a little something for everyone in Artifact. Fans can bask in righteous indignation as Jared Leto and crew rail against their absurd $30 million lawsuit and make the album This is War. The anti-Leto lobby can enjoy a decent primer on the sins of the music business while getting to giggle at the scene where the singer/actor expressed his feeling by singing in a swamp and drawing pictures in the sand.
