With commentary from scholars, members of his odd family and admirers like Snoop Dogg, Henry Rollins and Ice-T (who is stage-named after Slim), the film provides a comprehensive history of the man's life, his motives and thoughts, and also briefly touches on the influence he's had on rap music.
