Back to 11 Great Models Turned Musicians

American singer/songwriter Lissy Trullie took up a number of odd jobs and day jobs to pay the bills before she became an indie rock It Girl. She washed dishes, she was a janitor, and she occasionally appeared in fashion magazines like Elle and SOMA. Trullie insists that too much has been made of her modeling past, though.
"It's like this plague that follows me," she told Time Out New York in 2009. "People always bring it up, but it was just a way for me to make money during college." It seems that the singer hasn't entirely given up on her fashion past, though, as she did become the face of Max Azria's fall collection for the Herve Leger later that same year.
