Back to 12 Artists Who Bombed on SNL
Cypress Hill, October 2, 1993
Jeff Kravitz, FilmMagic
The Performance: The hip-hop crew trashed their gear and DJ Muggs smoked a joint during their performance of 'I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That.' As it turns out, they were goin’ out like that. 'SNL' banned the group for their antics.
Career Impact: Smoking a joint on national television was hardly a reputation-ruiner for the blunt-loving Cypress Hill. Their post-scandal career, which continues to this day, has included multi-million selling albums, a headlining slot at Lollapalooza and even getting animated for 'The Simpsons.'
