The Performance: Industrial rap-rock feelings-screamers Linkin Park went experimental with 'When They Come for Me,' a percussion-heavy collection of spoken words and wailing choruses filmed in black and white. Judging by their faces, the band were clearly impressed with themselves. But the rest of the audience was left a little confused by the spectacle.
Career Impact: Linkin Park remain one of the biggest rock bands in the world and the song in question became a pretty big hit on its own, selling over 500,000 copies in the U.S. alone and earning critical praise.
