The Performance: Taylor’s takes on 'Love Story' and 'Forever and Always' were not so much complete failures as they were further proof that the pop-country songstress is better suited to records than live performances. Although she tackled both songs with adorable enthusiasm, she was often off-key and a little warbly.

Career Impact: A few wonky notes weren’t enough to stop Swift’s award-winning, chart-topping, movie-starring ways. They weren’t even enough to keep her off the show for more than a few months. She was back on 'SNL' by November.
