Voodoo Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 26-28

Voodoo Festival, touted as one of the best and largest festivals, takes place in New Orleans on October 26-28. It's situated against the beautiful green backdrop of City Park, complete with cooler weather (for those who don't want to brave summer's often hot hot heat) carnival rides and emotionally visceral art exhibits. The line up is generally wildly eclectic. Aptly named Voodoo, it coincides with Halloween, making New Orleans even a spookier, stranger and better destination.
