Alongside lyricist Mike Stoller, his longtime songwriting partner, Leiber was responsible for some of the most indelible hits of the early rock era. The duo's credits include 'Yakety Yak,' 'Jailhouse Rock,' 'Stand by Me' and 'On Broadway,' and they're credited with introducing white audiences to R&B, forever changing music history.
