In the summer of 1994, there was no escaping 'Regulators,' Nate Dogg's team-up with rapper Warren G. More a soul crooner than an MC, Nate made lines like, "I best pull out my strap and lay them busters down" sound strangely sensual. Never a major solo star, he made memorable guest appearances on tracks by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, and his finest moment came on the latter's 'Ain't No Fun,' in which he sings blatantly vulgar lines like a quiet-storm loverman.
