The Saskatchewan natives beat out 15 other bands to win a coveted Rolling Stone Magazine cover, the first unsigned band to ever grace it. Since then, the neo-classic rockers have become quite the stars, appearing on TV shows and playing sold-out gigs. Their videos are dogless and their Rolling Stone cover didn't even have a Shetland -- but let's be real, their shaggy hairdos are not unike the herding hounds that inspired the band's name.
