Helmet + Mastodon

Neither grunge, nor thrash, Helmet stood apart from the rest of the alternative scene two decades ago with their own brand of heavy (and their willingness to contribute to the Jerky Boys). The hard rock landscape of 2012 dictates you’ve got to a) sound like Nickelback, b) be screamcore, or, like, c) be totally extreme. Mastodon are none of these things. They’re just heavy. And they did a song for Adult Swim's 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force.'

DNA Evidence: Bring on the rage, dude. Helmet’s 'Unsung' and Mastodon’s 'Curl of the Burl' are exactly what we presume Dog the Bounty Hunter listens to in order to get psyched up.
