One Ring Zero and Margaret Atwood and Others

If you like your literature set to a polka beat, then One Ring Zero's 'As Smart as We Are (The Author Project)' is the album for you.

In 2004, the New York City gypsy-klezmer band took lyrics from 17 of North America's most respected authors, including Margaret Atwood, Rick Moody and Neil Gaiman, set them to crazy flea-circus music, and did the impossible -- made stuffy literary types (not counting Gaiman, of course) even less cool..

But One Ring Zero is not a one-trick pony. The group's latest effort, 'The Recipe Project,' is a collection of recipes from world-renown chefs set to music.
