Your band's name is I Hate Our Freedom. What's that all about?
Joseph Gillo: "It was inspired from a David Cross piece in which he mocks what we as Americans do with our freedom. Y'know, wilful ignorance and all that."
If you hate freedom so much, why don't you, like, go back to North Korea you hippie?
"I'll assume that you're being tongue 'n' cheek and are associating North Korea and hippie-dom with each other merely out of jest rather than any sort of understanding about the oppressive regime that exists within North Korea and/or the idea of correlating a '60s counterculture movement with having anything to do with hating freedom when it was obviously much more interested in extending freedoms both sexual and recreational in nature. Plus, real estate in North Korea is a total bitch, so I really can't be bothered."
So what does hating freedom actually sound like?
"The death of boredom."
