Leonard Cohen's Endurance

It’s one thing to be Canada’s most definitive singer-songwriter of the '60s, or the man behind one of the most ubiquitous cover songs in recent memory with "Hallelujah," which became so despite being largely ignored when it first came out back in 1984. Or even being the coolest senior citizen to play Glastonbury, Coachella and sell-out a years-long world tour. But Cohen also released a smash-hit album earlier this year, Old Ideas, that landed in the top three in Canada, Britain and America, among a dozen other countries, despite coming 44 years after his debut.
