Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace

Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace made the surprising, courageous move of coming out as transgender this year, and announced she would transition to physically living as a woman. Formerly known as Tom Gabel, the punk rocker also revealed that the announcement had a huge impact on his dad. Though their relationship was never great, Grace said that coming out has "completely ended my relationship with my father." Here's hoping they can reconcile.
