Eric Clapton

Before pursuing a career in music, Clapton studied stain-glass design at the Kingston College of Art. Unfortunately, the guitar proved to be too much of a distraction and Clapton was expelled for not turning in his assignments. He joined the Yardbirds two years later, and has now been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times, for that band, Cream and his solo career.
