Hebrew school wasn't a horrible experience for the half-Jewish rocker and actor, but it did present a unique challenge: as a child with an afro, he could never figure out how to keep his yarmulke on. The display confused the other kids. "They weren't vicious," he told Deep Joy in 1998. "It was just like, here's this kid with a big-ass puff on his head, with a yarmulke pinned to it, and he's brown. What's going on? So that was the end of my Hebrew school days."
