I get that the Grammys wanted to do something to honor the already-dying disco scene, but this award is supposed to be bestowed on a band with a bright future. But only a few short years after A Taste of Honey topped the chart with the creatively named floor-filler "Boogie Oogie Ooogie," they broke up following a string of failed efforts. Oh, and they beat the Cars and Elvis Costello in this category.
