'Crazy Feeling'
Amazon
True to the title, there is a crazy dissociative feeling Reed-o-philes get when they hear this song for the first time. Gone is the cramped tenement space Reed so often inhabits in his songs. Gone are the prostitutes(!) and the drugs. Instead we get a breezy tune, complete with laid-back slide guitar, and bells. As the album title suggests, 'Crazy Feeling' sounds like Lou Reed went on a beach holiday, one full of nostalgia for a time when rock and roll was still just a naive young child.
