The Pointer Sisters, the quartet of sisters of "I'm So Excited" and "Jump (For My Love)" fame, were struck by tragedy in 2006, when June Pointer died of cancer in 2006. Then they were struck by scandal when Bonnie Pointer took to Entertainment Tonight alleging, among other things that her sisters Anita and Ruth had kept her from visiting June on her deathbed, and that they'd had June cremated against her wishes because it was cheaper.
