In the '70s, Wynne fronted The Spinners, whose hits included "I'll Be Around" and "The Rubberband Man." In 1984, the 43-year-old performer was dancing in the audience during an encore at Ivey's nightclub in Oakland, Calif. when he collapsed of a heart attack. He died the next morning.
