Hardly the first musician to turn to religion (see: Al Green and Rev. Run of Run DMC, etc), Sinead's choice to pursue ministry was especially surprising considering she'd once ripped up a photo of Pope John II on national television. She was ordained a priest of the independent Irish Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church. Thing is, Roman Catholics don't acknowledge this church, so O'Connor may or may not be an actual priest depending on how much you hate women.
